So what was Google Panda all about?
Thursday, June 30th, 2011I know it’s been months since the Farmer slash Panda algorithm update at Google, but I recently came across this video from SEO MOZ video that I think sums up it very well….
The video hints at the fact that old SEO methods are probably becoming some what redundant. No longer is it good enough to just do keyword research, use those keywords in the correct way on the pages and build links to those pages. Thanks to Panda, content is now really king!
Not only do we have the Panda updates, but now we have the new Google+ feature where users can +1 results in google and also +1 pages which contain the button. I’ll also do a seperate post on the new Google circles feature, Google’s answer to Facebook.
Now us SEO people have to think about the user experience more and more and come up with fresh, new, interesting content to keep the visitors coming back. Maybe SEO people will now have to become ‘good user experience people’.
